Join CTIC and Delta F.A.R.M. for an information-packed tour and meet producers who face unique challenges in water quality, herbicide resistance and wildlife management. The Tour will highlight innovative conservation practices that producers and partners implement to protect and preserve one of the largest contiguous coastal ecosystems in North America. Come see conservation successes in an idyllic setting and experience the rich culture of the Deep South.

The Fertilizer Institute (TFI) is a Conservation in Action tour sponsor. TFI and the International Plant Nutrition Institute will have representatives on the tour who can talk to you about the 4Rs.

Tour Stops

Stovall FarmsStep onto one of the region's oldest production farms and childhood home of blues legend Muddy Waters to see first-hand how aggressive water quality and water quantity conservation practices address major natural resource concerns, such as hypoxia in the Gulf of Mexico.

Mill Creek Gin Tour the state-of-the-art cotton gin, and enjoy an authentic Southern lunch while discussing Delta conservation challenges and solutions. Get hands-on time with the newest equipment and products at the Conservation Technology Expo.
Williams Farms The last stop of the day will feature the “wild side” of Delta agriculture at a corn, soybean and cotton farm where production and wildlife management intersect. Learn about conservation measures that maximize crop production while providing habitat for white-tail deer, Bob-white quail and waterfowl. The tour concludes at the Williams family hunting lodge for the evening social and dinner.
