Illionis Fertilizer and Chemical Association (IFCA) is holding their annual convention and trade show in Peoria, IL. The covention provides a time for retailer and agronomic service providers to interact with industry representatives and to participate in educational activities.

At the 2012 convention, TFI will participate in a Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) continuing education session to discuss 4R implentation and service provider involvement as well as provide details for a project to reduce nitrous oxide (N2O) emissions (a potent greenhouse gas) from cropping systems in in Iowa and Illinois via implementation of nitrogen fertilizer best management practices. N2O emission reductions generate carbon credits which could potentially be quantified and monetized through a trading system.

TFI will have a 4R and greenhouse gas grant project information booth in the trade show area.
