TFI recently joined IPNI, the Canadian Fertilizer Institute (CFI), the Agricultural Retailers Association (ARA), and the Certified Crop Advisors (CCA) in hosting the second Nutrient Stewardship Summit. The summit brought together approximately 60 fertilizer industry representatives and agricultural stakeholders to share information regarding 4R implementation efforts and the development of new tools and resources to increase awareness and adoption of the 4Rs.

Presentations, provided in case study format, were given on nutrient issues impacting Lake Winnipeg, the western Lake Erie basin and the state of California.  Additional presentation topics included 4R implementation, barriers to adoption, research gaps, and development of metrics for 4R adoption and measures of effectiveness.
